Today is my last day of babysitting. I'm on vacation for the summer. It doesn't mean I won't be seeing my sweet babies more times than not.
Besides catching up on some massive cleaning and decluttering, I hope to plant my body in a chair and write.
The last time I did that, it worked. Nothing outrageous. Something simple: write for 1-2 hours every day, or a word count of 1k-2k.

I need to set a goal.

Wish me luck.
Good luck! Sounds like a good plan. I hope to do a bit of writing this summer myself, but AFTER moving into another place, once I find it. Ugh... I hate moving.
ReplyDeleteHAPPY TIME OFF and weekend, Cathrina!
Thanks Michael. You're moving again?
DeleteI love your plan, Cathrina and the best part is it works! Hooray for you. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend. I'll be thinking of you.
You too Deanie.
DeleteHooray for cleaning and decluttering. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope I do I good job.
DeleteAll the best with your plans. Even if you miss a day press on. You can do it Cat.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with your writing goal! I agree, goals like that are a great well to help keep focused...
ReplyDeleteThat word count is a good one! You'll definitely have a good chunk of your manuscript done by the end of summer if you do that. I write 1500-2000 words a day for my clients. That's how I make $$$. But getting my own fiction writing done is tougher, since payment for that isn't guaranteed.
ReplyDeleteBy the end of summer would be nice!
DeleteThat sounds like a great word count goal. I think I'm going to have to try your example. good luck!
ReplyDeleteIt usually works. Good Luck.
DeleteWishing you luck! I'm very goal-oriented myself:)
ReplyDeleteIt's not a lot, but it's a goal I can reach, usually.
DeleteGood luck :) It's crazy that it's summer already isn't it? I feel like I blinked in January and opened my eyes and here I am...
