#IWSG

Join Alex J. Cavanaugh and a multitude of writer's in this monthly hop to help support one another!

Purpose: To share and encourage. Writers can express doubts and concerns without fear of appearing foolish or weak. Those who have been through the fire can offer assistance and guidance. It’s a safe haven for insecure writers of all kinds!

Alex's awesome co-hosts are J.H. Moncrieff, Tonja Drecker , Patsy Collins, and Chrys Fey!

What are five objects we'd find in your writing space?

1. Wearing my comfy robe

2. My laptop.

3. Usually I like to have coffee in the morning when I start to write. If I find time to write later, in the afternoon, I prefer a steaming cup of tea.

4. My cell phone is essential to have within reach.

5. A glass of water. (after drinking too much coffee or tea)

OH ~ And, at this time of year a delectable Christmas Cookie... or two 😃

When life gets busy with the hustle and bustle of the season ~ shopping, wrapping gifts, baking, and etc... I hope you'll find time to enjoy family, friends, and neighbors. Take a moment to remember that Jesus is the reason for the season. Give Thanks 💖

  1. Gotta love the cookies! lol I used to make a bazillion of them with the kids and then we'd go caroling to our friends and deliver them.

    1. I still bake cookies, but not as many any more because I eat too many... LOL :)

Your fifth item made me chuckle.
I'd like a cookie now, please.

Have a wonderful, warm, merry Christmas with the joy of Christ and the joys of family and friends!

  6. I usually have at least half a bag of cookies/chips/bucket of ice cream while I'm writing, but I was too ashamed to admit it. :-/

  7. Cookies!!! I'd be too distracted by them to write. Have a Happy Christmas! :)

  8. Yes he is and I love your post. The cookies look delicious, the coffee is tempting me and I would love to sit right now and write :)
    Happy IWSG day :)

  9. Your writing space is compact - and so portable. Do you remain in your 'pocket' (football term - my husband is a hyper sports enthusiast ;-) or venture out to libraries, coffee shops, parks...

    1. I haven't ventured anywhere, but I'm thinking of doing so, to try it out.

  10. Cool! I'm not the only one who has a glass of water on standby. Wishing you a safe and Merry Christmas! :)

  13. I honestly don't eat much around my desk. Usually because I'm too busy typing to have my hands free to eat. LOL

  14. The only thing I don't do out of your list is keep my cell phone close by. In fact, half the time I'm not sure where it is. It's the ONLY good think that I do for myself in life, stay disconnected from my phone. :)

  15. Where do I sign up for a batch of those cookies!? I've got sugar on the brain lately. I've been cooking vegan, GF, no sugar for the past week, and still at least two more weeks to go, then we'll see. :)

    1. My daughter did the same thing. She's past it now. Don't know if it really helped her problems though. Good Luck.

  16. I'm wearing my dog jammies right now and just finished my hot chocolate. I found a fantastic tea last year, German chocolate, oh my gosh! So good! I just picked up a new jar two weeks ago. I have to time it right or I'll go through that jar in a heartbeat!

  17. Being a writer does have its perks! Comfy robes and slippers while on the job are two!

Happy Holidays, Cathrina, and may 2019 bring you joy.

  18. It's best if I don't have my phone with me. I keep finding excuses to check for any new notifications. Unfortunately, I don't drink coffee, so I either have to rely on tea or caffeinated soft drinks. Not terribly healthy, but sometimes I just need it.

  19. I am totally pro-robe. I recently got a second one that's oh so comfy and fuzzy! We'll be robe-wearing writers together!
