Celebrate the Small Things

This week the entire family has been celebrating the life of my sister-in-law, Cindy. On Sunday, she died suddenly after minor knee surgery. It's tragic. We're still in shock. She leaves behind two sets of twins, and the identical twins are autistic.

Cindy was full of heart and snark. Only she could say inappropriate things and make an entire room roar in laughter.

It's a Celebration of Life.

Every day we take life for granted. And each day it can be snatched away. I pray for families and people of all ages to band together to live in peaceful harmony.

Love One Another!!

  1. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. It must have been a shock for something as routine as knee surgery to spark it. This is a lovely tribute.

  2. Oh, wow. So, so sorry for your loss. It's never easy to lose a loved one, but I can only imagine how much more tragic it feels when you weren't even expecting it... *hugs*

  6. Oh I am so sorry for your family - the shock must be terrible but from what you write you are all pulling together and as you rightly say celebrating a wonderful life and reminding us all not to take our own and the lives of our loved ones for granted. 7. I'm very sorry for your family's loss. Cindy sounds like a wonderful person. I think it's true that life can be unexpectedly short. We all need to stop stressing about unimportant things and appreciate what we have -- coz who knows how long we'll have it. Have a good weekend and Happy Halloween!
