#AtoZ - Letter A

Here We Go
The First Day of the
***A to Z Challenge***
My Challenge for this year is to post Songs that were Made into Movies
and Cheating is Involved....

The Song: 1984

I loved this song so much I learned how to play it on the piano.
The Movie

A gangster hires an ex-football player to find his girlfriend. When he finds her, they fall in love, and the twists start to appear.

A Great Big Thank You to Arlee Bird for this Fun Brain Child. I hope to hop around to make some new blogger friends this year!

**End of Day One**

Thank you Alex Cavanaugh and the wonderful people that co-host each month.
This month, Alex's awesome co-hosts are
Suzanne Furness,Tonja Drecker, Toi Thomas, Rachna Chhabria, Fundy Blue, and Donna Hole!

I've had a busy month of book promotions, and attempting to add a few words to my WIP, that I barely had time to be my typical neurotic self.
Not until today did my neurosis kick into play. My brilliant editing service sent me my Editorial Critique and edits for my sequel to TALLAS. She gave me excellent advice, and I intend to utilize her critique to the best of my ability.
Let's just say I have plenty of work ahead.

  1. Hey Cathrina. I've always liked the song but never knew what the movie was about. Great A2Z theme. Be careful of that imminent head banging (smile).

  2. I've always liked the song as well. But I have never scene the movie! I have heard of it just never watched it.

  3. Great song, Never saw the film.

  4. Good luck with the challenge and those edits.
Remember seeing this film, great song.

  5. A post: wow, I'd forgotten that song (and that video with the car chase!) Now I'll be humming it - thanks! Great theme!

And getting back critiques and guidance and edits always makes me cringe, though I've never gotten back a 'Scrap This Loser and Write Something Else. Like a Laundry List. Who Are You Kidding!'

    Well done!

  6. Catharina, enjoyed your post and the song you selected. Good luck with your editing.

  7. Hi Cathrina! Love the concept you're going with for this year's A to Z! Great song, too. I can see why you learned it on the piano. Best of luck with the editing :)

  8. Songs made into movies is something I wouldn't have a clue about - although I love musicals, and that wouldn't count, I don't think. Hope you have a lot of fun with this!

  9. Good to hear you liked the song so much you learned to play it, did that myself when younger, glad I'm not the only one... :0)

  10. Oh I forgot about that song! Now I'll be singing it in my head all day. I've no doubt your Tallas sequel is fantastic - good luck with the editing. :)

  11. I wasn't aware that movies have been made based on songs. New horizon has been reached! :)

    1. Yes, some have. but I repeat, there will be cheating....

  12. It will be all right!
I can sing that song perfectly for Karaoke.

  13. I remember that movie. Great song! Gotta love Phil.

  14. Oh my God that song pulls at my heart strings. Just keep your head up Cathy. Seriously, please don't give yourself a concussion on top of the stress.

  15. Good luck with your edits! And heh, I've heard that song before, but this is the first time I'm learning about the movie. (Shame on me? XD)

  16. I've heard of the song, but don't think I ever saw the movie. Good luck with your edits.

  17. That song and movie bring back a lot of memories. I am such a Phil Collins fan. I love your theme!
I am expecting final edits any day. Oh the anxiety!

  18. Ah, I love that song too. I haven't heard it in years. Good luck with your edits! :)

  19. Wow, great theme. I always wondered what that movie was about. Good luck on your edits!!

  20. Rudolf the Red-nosed Reindeer is the only song that I know of that was made into a movie! Clever theme. Good luck!

  21. Gonna be a busy month. Against the Odds an appropriate song for the first A-Z post.

  22. Head banging sometimes help. LOL

  23. Maybe if you bang your head against something, it'll knock some new words and ideas loose. Of course, you might also knock yourself out cold.

  24. All these songs I had no idea were made into movies! I;ll be learning a lot this month!
