A to Z: Letter P and Celebrate

**ALL FOR YOU & ME**

The A to Z Challenge:

PRIDE AND PREJUDICE
by Jane Austen

Pride & Prejudice was published in 1813. While researching I found various book covers for this Classic Novel. If you haven't read it, you should. It's definitely not action paced or full of intrigue, but it's an excellent read of Classical Times.

Pride and Predjudice was first made into a movie in 1940, starring Greer Garson and Laurence Olivier.

I've seen this version many times. It's quite entertaining.

Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle starred in the Miniseries of Pride and Predujice.

My favorite Pride and Prejudice film opened in 2005. It had a brilliant cast. Keira Knightly, Matthew Macfadyen, and Donald Sutherland to name a few.

A GREAT SCENE: ENJOY

Trivia: Who played Jane Austen in the movie Becoming Jane?

Trivia Answers: Timothy Dalton played James Bond after Roger Moore and recently Daniel Craig.

  4. I wanted to stop by. You visited my blog. Thank you. Just so you know, it was very difficult finding your blog. Clicking on your name (in my comments) took me to your website, but there's no "blog" in your navigation. I only knew to type in 'blogspot' after your name because I saw a Blogger follow button.

  8. I love Pride and Prejudice. I read it in college for English class. I clearly remember sitting in the library reading and laughing out loud. Everyone with their noses buried in science, math, philosophy books and all the rest looked up and glared at me. I thought, "Not my fault that you chose such a tedious major!" Ha!

And you've sparked another HERE'S TO YOU dedication.... HERE'S TO YOU...

  10. Pride and Prejudice is one of my favorite classic books, and I love Jane Austen's humor. I haven't seen the Kiera Knightly one yet, but mostly because I can't imagine liking any version better than the Colin Firth version.

    Was the actress Anne Hathaway?

  11. No guess here, but I loved seeing all the film versions. I'll have to get the one with Greer Garson. I'd love to see it.

  12. Others have already said, but Anne Hathaway played Jane. I like all three of the versions you posted here, but have to say the one with Colin Firth is my fav because it follows the novel much more closely and I love the way the characters are portrayed. On the last one the thing I liked best was Mr. Darcey's (Matthew M.) slightly "restrained" sexiness! Colin Firth's version was much much more restrained. Thanks for dropping by my blog and commenting! Happy #atozchallenge2014
