Thank you to Melissa Maygrove for another

year of FOLLOW FEST!!! I thoroughly enjoy

meeting and learning about my online friends!!

Today you will learn a little something about me:

Cathrina Constantine (pen name)

Real name: Cathy Jankowiak

Fiction or nonfiction?:  I write only Fiction.

What genres do you write?:

I love to read all genres, however, I write
mainly Young Adult

which highly crossover to Adult since my Paranormal Thriller

is somewhat filled with magic, gory violence, and some head

chopping due to a Snarky Teenager and her Awesome

Guardian Angel smitingDemons!

And this year TALLAS, a Post-Apocalyptic novel was released,

another supernatural adventure!

I also have a YA/Contemporary, Mystery novel being released

by Crushing Hearts and Black Butterfly in 2015.

I write: Paranormal Fantasy, Thrillers, Dystopia, Mystery

Contemporary, Young Adult/Adult. (so far)

Are you published?:

I still feel like a newbie author even though my third book the

sequel to Wickedly They Come, titled Wickedly They Dream

is being released in November, and hopefully the sequel to

TALLAS in 2015.

Do you do anything in addition to writing?:

I do plenty, but nothing in the publishing business.

Tell us a little about yourself.

My life revolves entirely around my family. I have 5 children,

and ecstatic to be babysitting my very first grandbaby.

And have two upcoming marriages. I like to hand-quilt,

it's very relaxing to me. I like to take walks in the forest

behind my house with my dogs.

What are you reading right now?

I usually will read 2 sometimes 3 books at a time. So right

now I'm reading ARV-3 & Hidden Wings by Cameo Reno,

Somewhere Safe with Somebody Good by Jan Karon.

Which authors influenced you the most?

So many!!! JK Rowling, Jan Karon for her inspirational

and heartfelt novels, Marie Lu, Suzanne Collins, Rick Yancey,

Laurie Halse Anderson, Veronica Roth, Cassandra Clare,

and many more...

  1. Ha, I know what you mean about feeling like a newbie even though there's plenty of published works behind you. I'm not sure we ever lose that feeling.

  11. Sounds like we have similar reading tastes! I don't think the "newbie" feeling ever goes away - I've been published a year and still feel the same. Great to hear you've been working on so many projects!

  12. Nice to meet you! Woods walks are the best, especially when trying to work out plot problems. I enjoy writing snarky teens too, though I do a more unusual mashup of having Karon-esque themes in my work. Congrats on your kids' upcoming weddings--hope those are fun (not stressful)!

  21. With 5 children, I don't know how you write anything. Congrats on both accomplishments.

  22. Hand quilting, WOW! That's a talent I wish I possessed. Hooray for your upcoming release, weddings and a grandbaby--in whatever order you'd like. :)

  23. Cathrina, nice to meet you. I've been curious about hand quilting, but never thought I'd keep up with it. Especially since I used to crochet and now I don't. I wish you well on your upcoming release and an abundance of literary success.

  24. I'd love to hand-quilt one day. Right now, though, I'm pretty much committed to needlepointing. Repetitive motion to relax = GOOOOOOOD. :-P

  25. You hand-quilt? So cool! It's been years since I've done that myself. I mainly cross-stitch now...

And LOL, I often read multiple books at a time, as well. Hard not to do, when the TBR pile is so huge!

  26. Fun fact: I just spent a solid minute trying to sound out your real name—out loud. Thank God it's the middle of the night! LOL

    Nice to re-meet you! ;)
