My sequel to Wickedly They Come is in it's first round of edits. That's a small celebration.
I'm happy to get this posted on a friends laptop since mine is out of service for a while. Unfortunately, I might not be able to visit as many sites as I'd like. Please forgive me this week.
What are you celebrating?
My goals have literally swirled down the drain. Let's just say life can sometimes change our attitude and goals. My new goal, and this one I plan on reaching, is one final edit on my YA/Mystery.
What are your goals?
Hope you get your laptop fixed soon.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on finishing round one of edits!
Thanks Alex.
DeletePublishing three books. But yeah. My short term goals also all flushed down the drain.
ReplyDeleteOh well, hope we both get back into the groove....
DeleteYeah, you finished a round of edits. That's always something to celebrate. :)

Yes, thanks Shah.
DeleteI'm gonna agree with those first rounds of edits. I've just started the editing/revising process for the first time and yeah, I need a shoulder to cry on and a blog to stalk. :)
ReplyDeleteSo expect regular visits from me, Cathrina. It's really great knowing someone else is going through editing. I know Misha is as well. The company is so totally going to keep me from going nuts!
And this final edit on your YA Mystery is before you start sending it out to agents/editors?
Actually, Hana, the YA/Mystery has been reworked and revised and now re-edited. I hate to give up on it...
DeleteRight now I'm in a similar boat. My computer has decided to slow down so much I can do laundry between posts. Good luck with your mystery.
ReplyDeleteHahahaaa...thanks for the chuckle, CLee.
DeleteSorry to hear about your computer but great news with the edits! Good luck with your new goal on the YA/Mystery. Cheering for you. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThank You, Have a great weekend.
DeleteWoot on getting to that first round! Hope your computer returns to you safely and quickly.
ReplyDeleteI hope so, thanks, Loni
DeleteYay to those edits! And good luck reaching the next goal :)
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteYay to first round edits. You're going to be busy for a while.
ReplyDeleteI believe you're right, Nana.
DeleteSometimes life gets in the way of our short-term goals, but as long as it doesn't derail our dreams, that's fine! Keep on trucking.
ReplyDeleteThat is an awesome way to look at it Stephanie, Thank you.
DeleteCongrats on making it to the edit stage! :)
ReplyDeleteThank Lara.
DeleteYay for hitting the editing stage! Good luck with them. I'm doing revisions myself. My goal is to stay on top them and not procrastinate. :) Have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteGood goal, Christine!
DeleteComputer problems wreak havoc. I hope you get yours sorted out soon.
ReplyDeleteI dedicated something to you on the Thursday post. I hope that you can watch it and like it:)
Wow, thank you Robin!
DeleteI'm with you - I never give myself goals or deadlines because it's too easy to feel bad if you don't meet them. It's better to chill out and do the best you can. Life is too short to make yourself crazy. Have a good weekend! :)
ReplyDeleteSo true, thanks Lexa
DeleteHope your computer is fixed soon - love them and hate them, they are indispensable aren't they?! Well done on getting to the outside-editor stage.
ReplyDeleteYes, you're right. We have a love/hate relationship with our computers
Deleteyay for friends (w/laptops & internet!)
ReplyDeleteand sometimes the goals take a detour - that's ok!
smaller goals add up to big ones! keep at it =)
I like your thinking Tara, thanks.
DeleteYes, my computer has been needing a good fix since school ended, but I am being super stubborn since the waiting list is about a week. :P Congrats on your your book edits, that is a great thing! :D
