This week I finally sent (with a prayer) my revised ms to my agent for her consideration. Now it's nail biting time. However, I'm reading a good book by Laurie Halse Anderson and she's blowing me out of the water. (I should save that part for IWSG)
After weeks of an empty head when it comes to a new story, I must admit, tiny whisperings tickled my brain.
Since I'm a total pantser, who knows where it will lead me. I began typing and barely made a dent into my wip with a 4k word count.
My goal for next month is to reach 20k on this new wip.
(I'm a slow writer)
Are you reaching your goals & What are you Celebrating?
A new book idea that has you typing away. I like it. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteThe inspiration came from you, Nana!
Deleteslow is a matter of perspective....
ReplyDeleteGood luck on you wip!
Thank you David.
DeleteCongrats on sending the ms to the agent! I'll cross my fingers that she loves it. Yay for 4k! That's more than I've written recently. I'm slow too...I hope we both manage to write 20k next month. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Lexa I need a lot of fingers crossed!
DeleteHope there is good news from your agent.
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome that you are writing again. Finding that kernel of an idea can be the toughest part!
Thanks Robin.
DeleteHope it's positive news from your agent. Glad to hear a new idea has sparked, good luck with reaching your target.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend :)
20K for next month is achievable, you can do it! Best of luck with your revised MS, I hope you hear great things from your agent. Fingers crossed ;)
ReplyDeleteWe shall see.
DeleteCongrats on sending the MS off and tiny whisperings are definitely good. Good luck with the WIP!
ReplyDeleteGood for you on sticking to your goals. You can do it! Best wishes for good news from your agent.

ReplyDeleteGood luck with the submission. :)
Thank you Melissa.
DeleteWishing you the best of luck with that revised manuscript! Hopefully you won't have any reason for nail-biting once all is said and done... ;)
ReplyDeleteAlso, good luck with your WIP! 20K sounds like a lot to me, so good luck reaching that goal in April!
Thank you Heather.
Delete20K words sounds fast to me! I'm really a slow writer!! I'm sure your agent will love your ms.
ReplyDeleteHah...thanks for the vote of confidence Ava.
Delete20K is a good goal. I always give myself way too high goals and end up disappointed with myself.
ReplyDeleteI was going to put it at 30, but I knew I'd be disappointed in myself.
DeleteAll the best with the ms you sent to your agent, Cathrina.
ReplyDeleteI'm also a pantser (pantster, pantzer (I see it spelled differently everywhere) and a slow writer, but I believe that's how my subconscious prefers it to be.
thank you Fanny
DeleteAlways rest assured that no matter how slow a writer you are, I am always much much slower :-)
ReplyDeleteHah...we should race some day!
DeleteWay to go on your goals.
ReplyDeleteWhat book by Laurie Halse Anderson are you reading?
Thank you J. I'm reading The Impossible Knife of Memory by Laurie Halse Anderson.
DeleteIt's good you're writing instead of just sitting there biting your nails. :P Hang in there and also, enjoy your new writing! :)
ReplyDeleteExciting to know you have a new story coming together. Good luck with it! And I hope you get a great response from your agent soon.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed for the submission. And slowly but surely will get you moving towards your next book.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the edits, and new whispers! I hope all goes well this week!
ReplyDeleteOoh I love those first whispers. Enjoy your new project. :-)
