Celebrate the Small Things
Hop over to Lexa Cain's and join in this fun weekly Celebration. Lexa's wonderful co-hosts are:
L.G. Keltner @ Writing Off The Edge
Tonja Drecker @ Kidbits Blog

In writing, I'm sending my manuscript to an editor today to polish it up. One beta reader said, "It's fantastic." Her words put a smile on my face.

I've taken down the Halloween decorations and replaced them with Thanksgiving. The leaves on our tree turns yellow, then orange, and then a brilliant fuchsia, but a rain storm came along and most of that gorgeousness has frittered to the ground.
I'm also in the process of canning homemade applesauce. You can't beat the yumminess of it!!

What are you celebrating this week?

  1. And instantly you have to rake leaves.
The word fantastic would make me happy!

  2. What a beautiful tree! We have a Japanese maple in our front yard that turns the prettiest shade of orange this time of year. I need to put away the Halloween decorations as well. I was going to throw out our pumpkins yesterday, but some critter has been snacking on them (squirrel, chipmunk, possum?) so I'll let them hang around a bit longer.

  3. It's Fantastic! Yippee! Those are exactly the words you want to hear. I don't get any golden leaves for the season, but it has cooled down some, so there's that. I'll take it.

    Have an awesome weekend!

  4. Cooking! I've been cooking today too: Mexican salsa, Chinese sweet & sour sauce, Chinese peanut garlic sauce, chicken & rice, and homemade sour cream. I think it's the cooler weather. I can stand to be in the kitchen now. I also have some apples to make an apple crumble. Yay!

  6. I love homemade applesauce. Can you invite over? I'll bring the tea or coffee and some hot freshly baked bread. Oh, and a big spoon. I've been known to consume a whole bowl of applesauce in one sitting.

  7. I'm never organized enough for Thanksgiving decorations! Last year I did get a tablecloths and centerpiece for Thanksgiving since it was my first year hosting Thanksgiving dinner. My husband made the turkey!
