#CTST Celebrate The Small Things

Celebrate the Small Things
Hop over to Lexa Cain's and join in this fun weekly Celebration. Lexa's wonderful co-hosts are:

Tonja Drecker @ Kidbits Blog

Our gorgeous weather has turned into fall-like days and chilly nights. I'm hoping for warmth and sunshine.

I reached 10k on my WIP. It's slow going. I'm waiting for the characters to talk to me....I did come up with a new beginning, but it's really dark and creepy. I think I like it.

My finished ms is in the hands of a fabulous editor. I'm excited and extremely nervous. I pray she has hair left by the end of the month.

Happy June

  1. Keep writing - it will take your mind off the manuscript with your editor.
We've had great weather this week - warm but low humidity. Wish the whole summer was like that.

  2. Dark and creepy sounds right up my alley! And 10k is awesome. Keep up the great work.
I hope you get the warm weather you are hoping for soon. Have a great weekend!

  4. It's been rainy and cool here, too. I don't know what happened to summer. 10K sounds great to me. Don't worry about your finished MS. I'm sure it will be fine. Enjoy your weekend!

  5. I'm wishing it'd be a bit more rainy and cooler. I'll send some warmth and sunshine your way, and you send some clouds mine. I"m sure your MS is great - yay to having it off to the editor!

  6. You crack me up! Yay for creepy beginnings and getting 10k done on your WIP! Sometimes characters take a long time to come out of their shells. My hero wouldn't talk to me until I finished the entire 80k first draft. I'm sure your editor will keep her hair! LOL!

  7. Those words come slowly sometimes, don't they? I just wrote "Chapter One" on a new book and I'm waiting for that magic to hit right now!

  8. Here's to finding the story and the people to put into it! I'm sure you will.

  9. I'll gladly give you some of my sunshine. There's too much of it where I live, LOL.

And congrats on reaching 10K! Dark and creepy beginnings are the best beginnings... ^_^

  12. Good luck on the WIP and ms with the editor. And may your characters start chattering (when you're writing). Mine sometimes start talking while I'm driving. Not a good time to take notes.

  13. Bring on the dark and creepy, as long as it has a good hook. Way to hit 10K! Wishing you speed and epic words as you forge your way on to 20!
