Celebrate the Small Things

As I'm writing this post, its thundering and lightning and raining. I love these storms, once in a while. We needed the rain. I can't complain, it's been gorgeous here. The pool is open, although, too cold for me, but my son and hubby jumped in...
It's such a pleasure to see my gardens thriving. I'm looking forward to the buds flowering.
What are your small celebrations this week?
I wouldn't be swimming in a storm, that's for sure.
ReplyDeleteWhat movie did you see? I know you said it would have to be a girl type film.
Money Monster. Was good, but predictable.
DeleteThunderstorms have rolled through here the last couple of days, too. We definitely need the rain. Hope you enjoyed your movie outing. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteYou too!
DeleteWe could use some of that rain in Sacramento! We're having a heat wave -- August weather in June!
ReplyDeleteSending you rain and prayers.
DeleteA girl's night out with dinner and a movie sounds like heaven! I hope the rains continue to make your garden thrive. Have a lovely weekend! :)
ReplyDeleteYou too, Lexa.
DeleteEnjoy your evening with friends! We've gotten a lot of rain here this week--lots of flooding in my area, but fortunately we haven't suffered flood damage like some neighborhoods nearby!
ReplyDeleteEEk!! Thank God.
DeleteWe've had thunderstorms the last few days too. I love them, although they tend to flood our road and make getting out a little difficult. Enjoy your evening!!!
ReplyDeleteYou too!
DeleteHope the movie and dinner was fun. Hooray for the good weather. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteYou Too, Deanie.
DeleteSeems to be a theme here. Very heavy rainfall all along the south coast of NSW for the past two days. Are you a golf widow Cathrina?
ReplyDeleteYes, I am...
DeleteEnjoy your night out! We had a huge thunderstorm here the other night too. Very unusual in Wellington, especially in the winter. The thunder was loud enough to wake up my younger son who usually sleeps through anything - even the school next door burning down.
ReplyDeleteWow!! Scary. I did enjoy my night out. Thank you Kate.
DeleteMeeting friends sounds great! Usually I just enjoy alone time when my husband is out of town. I need some girls!
ReplyDeleteYay for friends, cold pool water, and summer blooms! :)
ReplyDeleteI wish I could say it was a thriving garden, but whether California wants to recognize it our not, we're still in a drought. So this year, the garden's going to be slim to none.
ReplyDeleteThat's great about the garden! Thunderstorms can be fun to watch as long as the power stays on and nothing is damaged.
ReplyDeleteI love thunderstorms but Clancy hates them so I don't really get to enjoy them anymore. The poor dog is just so scared of them. :(
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoyed your weekend and had a great dinner & movie night!
