#CelebrateTheSmallThings

Hop over to Lexa Cain to join in this fun weekly Celebration. Lexa's co-hosts areL.G. Keltner @ Writing Off The Edge

I'm walking again, at least one to two miles a day. I know it's not much, but it's a start.

Summer is short here in Buffalo and I decided to cut back on posting. Except my blog is open to help promote authors and you'll be reading about some awesome new books and writers.

Today is my daughter's birthday. Her name is Jordan and she amazes me. She can build just about anything. She's a woodworker and makes cabinetry, tables, credenzas, and more...Here's her Instagram website:

MY BABY!

We'll be celebrating this Sunday!

What are you celebrating this week?

  5. Happy birthday to your daughter! And congratulations on the walking. One to two miles a day may not be a huge amount, but it's a good thing to do. Better than overdoing it. Once for a cancer fundraiser, I walked 22 miles in about 7 hours. If I'd worked up to that amount gradually I probably would have been fine, but I'd been to the hospital for knee issues recently and it was more than I could handle. I was sore for days afterwards. No permanent damage, though.

    Have a great weekend!

  8. Happy Birthday to your daughter! I guess creativity runs in the family - exciting books and beautiful furniture. We'll miss you over the summer. Maybe you could post just once a month. :)

  9. Who was it that said "Every journey starts with the first step"? Or in this case, the first mile. Happy birthday to your daughter, and have a good weekend.

  11. Happy Birthday Jordan. She's very gifted to be able to build so many things. My Dad was that way with clocks and watches. He started repairing them when he was about 10 years old.
