It's a pleasure to Celebrate the Small Things each week.
2. Put up the awning and opened the pool. YAY! Looks like summer is approaching.
3. Went to a nice restaurant for dinner and devoured delicious lobster ravioli.
Yikes! I was actually dreading this post. Mainly because I've basically thrown my goals in the trash heap. However, I have a good excuse. I've been helping my daughter daily since the birth of our first grand-baby. She's been sick, but now doing great.
Summer in Buffalo is short lived, so I plan on being outdoors as much as possible. Although, I don't wish to take a writing hiatus. With that said I'll shoot for a minor goal--10k on my current wip by our next post.
Thanks to Misha Gericke for this monthly hop and join here to reach your goal.
I love the approach to summer - so many possibilities. Good luck with your 10k goal!
ReplyDeleteThank You Annalisa!
ReplyDeleteLobster ravioli! It's still breakfast time for me, but I'm already think how I might get a few of those. Glad to hear your daughter is better.
ReplyDeleteThanks, CLee, Lobster ravioli was for dinner last night.
DeleteEnjoy the weather while you have it. Take a pic of your gardens and post it.
ReplyDeleteI will. When they bloom.
DeleteI love that you used the word "puttering." Not enough people do.
ReplyDeleteLobster ravioli-- oh yum.
Cool word, puttering...Thanks
DeleteGreat celebrations! Enjoy the sunshine, your garden, your grand-daughter and that 10K!!! Happy Summer!
ReplyDeleteThanks, you too, Tyrean!
DeleteOh my gosh, I love lobster ravioli! I'm jealous now lol
ReplyDeleteYou can certainly hit 10k and still enjoy the summer. ;)
I think so, or I hope so!
DeleteThis week my goals have been in the trash heap too, but I've enjoyed a dinner out. I hope that we recharge our batteries and dive back in to getting those goals done!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on new grandbaby! and good luck.
ReplyDeleteNothing wrong with taking a break, it always gives me a kickstart once Iove rested. Best of luck on the 10k! X

Great idea to shoot for a smaller target. Those little bits really can make a difference, even if you still come in under. Once you're back on track, the bits you wrote will come in handy to finish faster.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the grandbaby!
Good luck reaching your 10K goal, and enjoy the summer while it lasts, in the meantime! :)
ReplyDeleteVery exciting about your new grandchild, Cathrina, congratulations! Also, good news that you had a yummy special dinner. Hope the Summer is fun for you, even though it's short. Enjoy the weekend.
ReplyDeleteI am so happy that your daughter is doing better and you are more able to delight in your grandchild (and to think I thought you just out of college - don't ask me why!)

Your writing goal can wait (but not for TOO long, I hope!) Your daughter and her baby must come first. Enjoy the summer and enjoy the new grandchild :)
