This month has been very busy. I haven't had time to get too neurotic. On February 1st my second book, TALLAS was released, and that can make a writer ecstatic and fraught with doubts. It's out there to be reviewed and criticized. And again, I need to roll with the punches. I'm getting pretty good at rolling...
Admittedly, I wasn't as nervous this second time around. Though, I still have a problem with self-promotion. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all my blogger friends who helped me in promoting TALLAS.
How has your month been?

Thank you for mentioning CassaFire's sale! You rock.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I was as worried with the second book. Although with the first one, I had no idea what to expect, so that did add to the pressure of the second one.
Welcome, Alex. Now off the purchase CassaStorm!
DeleteI did hop on over, and I loved it!! Congrats again!
ReplyDeleteThank You Liz!
DeleteYou're right Cathrina, the promotion is the hardest part. If only there were easier ways! Perhaps I should try to get an agent? Self-promotion is sooooooo difficult.
ReplyDeleteIf I had written a bestseller then there would be pressure to write another. So - not much pressure for me - ha!ha!
Never say Never, right, Fanny?
DeleteIt's always frightening to get a new book out, exciting and scary. There's so much about writing and publishing that's a huge emotional roller coaster. Wishing you the best of everything with your new release!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely right, Karen. Being a writer is an emotional roller coaster ride.
DeleteI have an issue with self promotion too. It is a learning process I think. We will get there.
ReplyDeleteBrandon, so right. Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteCongrats on your new release!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Candilynn.
DeleteI think most writers find self promotion one of the hardest things. It scares me a little and I've not had to do it yet! Congratulations on your new release.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Suzanne, and one day you will have to promote yourself. And I'd like to help.
DeleteWahoo! I've decided there's no reason to be shy about your book or its promotion. If people aren't interested, they'll still be polite, but if they are...well, you just never know what will come of it.
ReplyDeleteI love your attitude Crystal. I wish I had it.
DeleteWith the decision I made recently, I'd better start practicing my drop-n-rolls and preen my duck feathers, too. Best of luck with Tallas. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Melissa. Good Luck with your decision.
DeleteSo, you are saying it does get easier the second time around? Good to know...
ReplyDeleteYes, I believe it gets easier.
DeleteCongrats on the release of Tallas! Way to go!
ReplyDeleteThank You very much.
DeleteI can't even let myself stress over promotion. It's too hard and too much and ugh…eventually I'll figure it out. Just not today lol.
ReplyDeleteStill pretty excited about your second release, woohoo :D
I'm still trying to figure it out. Thanks SK.
DeleteCongratulations on your release!
ReplyDeleteGrats on the release! Looking forward to reading it. :)

Congrats on your new release! I always have troubles with marketing, but we do what we can, and I've been seeing your book everywhere. So you're doing something right! :)
ReplyDeleteSelf-promotion, yes! i am a total fail at that.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your latest release!

ReplyDeleteChristine, Thank you. I have a few wonderful people hosting me on their blogs.
DeleteTara, Thank You. I doubt that you fail at promotion.

I haven't had to do any marketing besides minor mentions on my blog, but I don't envy the self promotions. Congrats on the release of Tallas. Nice of you to help out Alex too.
