It's been a week of good and bad.
The bad: It's been 3 months of nail biting on a full manuscript request only to receive the ax, a rejection.
The good: Another request for a full in one day after the submission.
The bad: Needed a medical infusion which caused horrible sickness for 3 days the last time.
The good: Tolerated the infusion without getting sick.
The good: Hit 30k on my new wip!
The good: I like it.
The good: Great weather.
The good: Hiked in the woods with my dogs!
It's always better to dwell on the good!
I love to read what your Celebrating this week!
Yay for that second request! The people who rejected your ms will end up regretting it when it is a big hit. :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you had more good than bad and especially that the infusion didn't make you sick. Hope the weekend brings lots more good things!
Thanks, Julie. Have a good weekend.
DeleteSorry about the rejection. Those are never fun. But it's great you're taking it so well and have so many other things going well. Have a great weekend! :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Lexa. You have a great weekend also.
DeleteVery true. Always better to dwell on the good... but sorry about the rejection.
ReplyDeleteYay for the second request, the new 30k that you like, AND that the infusion wasn't too bad this time.
Hope next week brings many more good things. Enjoy the weekend ;)
Thanks, SK. Have a good weekend.
DeleteI remember only too well about those rejection slips; that's why many of us went Indie--now, we are in control (and still starving).
ReplyDeleteHope "the good" will not only outweigh the other, but replace it. 30K is already a great beginning on that road. Don't let the doggies chew it up (my cat loves to eat paper--except bills, of course).
Thanks, Inge. Have a great weekend.
DeleteI'm saying yay to the good of this week because they outweighed the bad. Yay! I am so glad you didn't react to the infusion.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nana.
DeleteWell yay to the good and glad it sounds like they outweigh the bad.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely, thanks, Vikki
DeleteNot only is 30k a terrific word count, but when you actually like the WIP, it's just that much better.
ReplyDeleteSorry about the rejection.
Thanks, MJ. Have a good weekend.
DeleteHooray the good outweighs the bad! Congrats on the full request and for hitting 30k with the new story. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Christine, you too.
DeleteAwwww so happy to see there was more good than bad and well done on reaching 30k.
ReplyDeleteAlways like the good, Joss!
DeleteHiking in the woods with dogs is always good!
ReplyDeleteYes it is, and it clears the mind.

ReplyDeleteThank you Lara.
DeleteMore good than bad, and even the bad seems to be improving. I am celebrating at Laugh Quotes
ReplyDeleteYes it is, thank you Rhonda.
DeleteOh the query roller coaster. I know it well. Just remember you're closer to finding the right agent or right path by doing it.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear of your medical issue. Glad you came out ok!
I have a wonderful agent, Sharon Belcastro. She's working very hard with my ms. Thank you, PK have a wonderful weekend.
DeleteOh good. Sounds like you had a good week. I hope the next request comes to something :)

Thank you, I can use the luck!
