The Letter E

The word to pop into my thick skull was Edit. Mainly because that's all I've been doing lately!

However, I picked the word Exorcism. The word is scary on its own. And with the word Exorcism, here is an Excerpt from Wickedly They Come:

Seeley questioned, “Jack wrote about possession and how a person’s soul dies after the demon takes over the body. Could that person still be saved?”
Zeke nodded. “You know the answer, Seeley.”
Jordan cut in, “Exorcism!”
“Yes, a holy priest. Specific men and women have the power to vanquish demon spirits. Unfortunately, a person’s soul doesn’t necessarily choose to spend eternity in heaven, and Lucifer collects those souls with great pride.”
Jordan’s mouth twisted, revolted at the thought of choosing hell.

  1. Or you could be thinking about exorcising the editing from your brain! :)

  2. Nice link to your book. I would be remiss if I didn't tell everyone that Wickedly They Come is being released this year and they should watch out for it. I can just imagine what your W word will be.

  4. Great excerpt. I was a pastor in San Juan and was present for an exorcism one might. Not something we see often here.

  6. Gotta tell ya, when the movie The Exorcist came out, I went straight to a priest (no, I'm not Catholic) to understand all that exorcism stuff. I was amazed to discover they really did that. Scary.
