The Letter D

Ding Dong the witch is dead, the witch is dead, the wicked witch is dead....!

Ding Dong has a myriad of meanings: The most obvious is the clang of a bell. The Ding Dong flips your heart in a happy pump, or, sends your heart into a nosedive of panic.

Ding Dong can be an offensive term, substituted for damn, or a stupid person.

Ding Dong in the UK can mean a fight.

My favorite is the Ding Dong that you can eat!!!
YUMMY!!

  1. That's my favorite Ding Dong, too! Yum! Do they still make them? With all the health-consciousness now, it's been ages since I've even looked at the Hostess/Drakes section of the super market. Remember them well from my youth though! :-) Yodels were good too!

    1. Catherine, Thanks for commenting. I think Little Debbie makes something like a ding dong now. I'll have to try a Yodel.

  2. The first thing I thought of when I saw the Ding Dong (after the witches song) was those little cakes. I don't know if I ever at one. I did used to eat Hostess Twinkies though. Blech.

I didn't know this meant a fight in the UK, seems kind of funny to think of it.

  6. My ex used to love Ding Dongs. He'd chase me around trying to get me to take a bite. I did once, but no more, not sure if I like them, well except for the crack of the chocolate as you bite into it.
