H is for Hellfire

I couldn't resist the word Hellfire since there is raining Hellfire in my novel, Wickedly They Come
A brief read:
While Jordan had dealt with the woman, the rest of the entourage wrangled with Marcus. He threw his arm above his head, instantly acquiring a heavenly weapon, the singing sword proficiently culling the soulless herd. Monstrous demons lured Marcus farther away from Jordan. That was obviously part of their plan, for Veronka and Asa Trebane burst through the doors. Asa whipped a combustible hex; hellfire surrounded Marcus, cutting him off from Jordan.

  1. I like the idea of instantly acquiring heavenly weapons.

  4. Hell fire and damnation. Someone on a TV show used to say that but I can't remember who or what show. Nice excerpt Cathy.

  5. It's a good thing weapons, heavenly or otherwise, don't appear when I raise my arm or I'd be locked away for a long time. ;) Thanks for sharing your excerpt.

  7. Hellfire is mentioned quite a bit in comic books and I've always wondered if it burned hotter than regular fire...hmmm :)
