#CTST

It's that time again to
Celebrate the Small Things
Hop over to Lexa Cain's and join in this fun weekly Celebration. Lexa's wonderful co-hosts are:
L.G. Keltner @ Writing Off The Edge
Tonja Drecker @ Kidbits Blog

I giving my manuscript a final once over prior to handing it over to an editor. It's amazing the errors and sentence structures that you'd missed the first, second, and third time around. It really is a good idea to put your ms away for a break and then go back to it. You can pick out many areas that need clarification.

It looks and feels like summer in Buffalo. I'm in the process of puttering in the gardens and loving it. Also, there's all the stuff in the house that needs fixing and fresh paint jobs.

My peonies are getting ready to open!!!!

Have a Nice Weekend!

  1. Peonies? How lovely!

And I couldn't agree with you more about letting projects "rest." (I always seem to notice so many cringe-worthy mistakes whenever I set a piece of art aside for a few days!) Hope the final once-over for your manuscript goes well!

  3. The same thing happens to me when I put a story away for a while. When I go back over it, I can't believe all the stuff I missed. Good luck with it!
Peonies are lovely. I've never had much luck growing them until this year. I'm finally going to get some blossoms. Yay! Have a great weekend!

  4. Putting your book aside is always a good idea. The longer the better.

  5. I love peonies!
It's amazing how mistakes keep sliding through. It's better to put it down, ignore it and hit it with fresh eyes. Good luck!

  6. I definitely find more errors if I set a ms. aside and come back to it. That's not always possible, but I try to do it when I can!
