I don't have that much time to spend in limbo. Good luck with your special project! Whether one pursues the big house depends so much on whether it would be a fit that makes economic sense for THEM. In this economy, the big guys are very risk averse and seem to only want more of what are "sure things" with an existing market. Not to mention self-publishing. Seriously, I have a hard time understanding why anyone these days wants an agent, or wants to wait for years and years to MAYBE see their book sold by said agent to big publisher. It's a way of life that's quickly going out of favor with many writers.Karen Jones Gowenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11378428503220197256noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3481323769336692447.post-22748371539726366372015-06-01T14:47:29.606-04:002015-06-01T14:47:29.606-04:00Good luck to you Patrick!Good luck to you Patrick!Cathrina Constantinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16960849263181625782noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3481323769336692447.post-23237119973021578982015-06-01T14:47:17.949-04:002015-06-01T14:47:17.949-04:00Thank you Julie!Thank you Julie!Cathrina Constantinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16960849263181625782noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3481323769336692447.post-70456982301481569192015-06-01T14:32:22.743-04:002015-06-01T14:32:22.743-04:00I hope you will send that book out again. It's a much simpler market, I think, and much easier a skill to hone. There isn't a whole lot of money in it, but money isn't really my goal at the moment. If/when I do start writing novels, I think I'll go for the traditional/classic route and throw them in a trunk (possibly ripping short fiction pieces from their pages) if they've been rejected by all of the big markets. For me now, I'm not all that worried about being published in novel length. Then again, I may very well change my mind by the time I have a novel done.Patrick Stahlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09690555802232025818noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3481323769336692447.post-15017713017655205032015-06-01T12:45:00.742-04:002015-06-01T12:45:00.742-04:00That's what I thought tooQThat's what I thought tooQCathrina Constantinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16960849263181625782noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3481323769336692447.post-82317497803233016462015-06-01T12:44:31.221-04:002015-06-01T12:44:31.221-04:00Thanks Alex. Thanks Alex.Cathrina Constantinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16960849263181625782noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3481323769336692447.post-20342777424097072792015-06-01T12:37:43.710-04:002015-06-01T12:37:43.710-04:00Great story.
